COLLEGE IN HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM

Students are encouraged to take college level courses while in high school; the school does not arbitrarily restrict access. Well over 70% of BG students earn college credits before they graduate. Even non accelerated learners usually end up taking at least one college level course. Research shows that students who even attempt college level content while in high school are more likely to succeed in college. Many succeed wildly and save money on their college credits. Our students have become AP Scholars and complete a semester, full year, and up to two full years of college before leaving BG.

Please contact the school to learn more about any of these opportunities available to all of our high school students. (TIP: If you are unsure whether your child will be ready to take college courses in high school PLEASE talk to us. Even if you think they may not go on to college, please call. We have a lot to tell you, even if you don’t come to BG. You will be glad you did!)

Associate Degree

The Mountie-Marauder Partnership is a pathway for BG students to significantly accelerate by earning their first college degree (two years of college) while in high school. Completion of this programs allows students to graduate from Bishop Guilfoyle with an Associate of Art in Liberal Arts from Mount Aloysius College which can transfer into a 4 year degree at Mount Aloysius other universities. Up to two years of college may be offset, (but it does depend on the program and the specific policies of the 4 year university).
